Learning By Design

One of the key aspects of online learning that many course and content designers seem to miss is that the most important part of the process is the learning.

It doesn't matter how technically complex your course, how many bangs and whistles your course has, or if you're using the 'latest' technology, if the content is not accessible to the learner then you've wasted your time creating it.

This is why, at Learning Domain, we begin from the premise that the learner is at the centre of all we do. We concentrate on ensuring the course content is:

  • accessible to the learner:
    • at the time,
    • in the way,
    • and in the best format
    • for them to access it.
  • relevent to the learner
  • appropriate to the learner
  • of an appropriate length to aid understamding.

If these simple ideas are not built in by design then the learners will not get the best out of the courses provided.
